Synopsis: Against the backdrop of three important historical events before the founding of New China, The Eve follows Lin Xi, Su Nan and other passionate youths who join the revolution and devote themselves to serving their country.
The story is set in the three historical stages of the Shanghai Concession in 1941, the Battle of Jinzhou in 1948 and the liberation of Shanghai in 1949. Gang member Lin Xi and progressive female student Su Nan represent the unsung heroes of their time. It depicts the secret battles and hidden dangers during the Anti-Japanese War of Resistance and the difficult path revolutionary workers have taken for the sake of their ideals.
