Synopsis: The drama is set during the Ming Dynasty. The Yongle Emperor decides to recruit women who are talented in cooking to work in the palace. After a difficult selection process, Yao Zi Jin manages to enter the palace kitchen as a servant. She meets Liu Xing Qiao, a former beggar and genius chef Su Yue Hua. They work together and support each other, offering unique dishes that use Chinese medicine, as well as recreating old famous dishes. Finally, Yao Zi Jin understands the real meaning of the word “food” and decides to give up the fight, choosing to leave the palace and spread the beauty of Chinese cuisine to the common people.
